CHART NOTE
Returns today having frequent problems with Raynaud episodes. Did not respond to a course of dipyridamole. Wants to try nifedipine. All side effects from the ‘PDR 1989 edition’ were read to her. Advised as to the more severe side effects, mainly hematologic, and that these are considered relatively rare. Pregnancy warning given. Started on nifedipine 10 mg b.i.d.,
6-week supply given plus no refill. Recheck in 6 weeks. If she has satisfactory control, then I will give her a long-term prescription.
